These highly competitive awards – now in their ninth year and rebranded from the Mediatel Media Research Awards – shine a light on the best in data science, survey design, analysis and communication, and recognise projects, teams and rising stars.

This is the second award that Ipsos iris has won in recent months. In November the UK standard for online audience measurement won Best Industry Body Research at the Media Research Group Awards in Malaga.

UKOM CEO Ian Dowds said: "Our second award in just a few months is testament to the hard work of a host of people at UKOM and Ipsos. We are so grateful to those who give their time and expertise on our boards and committees, from the IAB, to ISBA , the AOP and the IPA. I hope that all involved are very proud of this recognition."

The judges were impressed with the innovative solutions deployed to enhance Ipsos iris as the UK's industry standard in online audience measurement. They also recognised how the team (which spans over 60 people including data scientists, engineers, analysts, domain knowledge experts and commercial) works collaboratively. Judge Danny Russell commented: "Trust, transparency and objectivity in the measurement of consumption across PCs, tablets and smartphones, across a wide array of audiences, is vital."

The judging was chaired by Belinda Beeftink, Research Director at the IPA. A full list of winners can be found here.
